What Are Macros?
Macros is short for macronutrient, which is where all calories come from. A calorie by the way, is just a measurement that describes how much energy is in food. Its not a bad thing.
You get energy (calories) from macros, and if you eat more than you use, your body stores those calories for later, usually in the form of fat.
The macros are Protein (4cals per gram), Carbohydrates (4cals per gram), Fats(9cals per gram) and alcohol(7cals per gram).
The macro diet does not require you to eat junk food on a regular basis; it simply allows it. The macro diet, or flexible diet, simply refers to tracking your food, being precise with your macronutrient intake, and giving yourself the freedom to choose what foods you want to eat.
